Odyssey of the Seas was built in 2021 and is full of so many fun activities for everyone in the family! From the best nighttime entertainment to amazing daytime activities and fun in the sun! Below is a look into all the things to know before getting onboard and what we did to save money on this trip!
Staterooms Options
Like any other Royal Caribbean ship, you can choose between an interior, an ocean view, a balcony or a suite. But there are options within each stateroom type to give you even more options. We chose an interior — but with a virtual balcony! This allows for natural daylight that you don’t get in an interior, at a fraction of the cost of an actual balcony. We felt like it was a game-changer for interior rooms! We will definitely book another virtual balcony room in the future. We also always bring this TROND which gives you so many extra outlets!
Quick Tip:
Leave the TV screen on all night, but make sure to close the curtains and make sure to mute the virtual balcony tab on the TV so you don’t hear the buzz of the screen all night long!

Hidden Secrets
There are a few hidden secrets on this ship that many people don’t know about… but you have to promise not to tell anyone!
The glass floor between Decks 13 & 14 at the aft of the ship. It looks all the way down to Deck 4 — so 10 flights!
The glass floor around the Sky Pad. While the Sky Pad is no longer used as a trampoline park, you can still walk around the outside where you’ll find the glass floor that looks straight down to the water.
The Crown & Compass Pub sells food! This might not feel like a secret, but it’s unusual that the pubs on board sell food.
The Solarium Bistro was the least crowded buffet spot for breakfast, and it serves some different options than the Windjammer buffet! Nice if you want to change it up a bit on your trip.
Cafe Two70 is open later than the Windjammer! If you miss lunch but you find yourself starving and can’t wait for dinner, you can go to Cafe Two70 which was open until 5pm, unlike the Windjammer which was open until 3pm
